Focus Topics

  • We begin by exploring identity, strengths, and what makes each student unique. Through reflection and creative activities, students start building a sense of self before stepping into high school.

  • This week is all about connection — students explore the nature of friendships, how to recognise positive vs. pressured dynamics, and how to stay true to themselves in social situations.

  • We unpack what confidence really means in a world of filters, followers and comparison. Students explore how social media affects the way they see themselves and learn strategies to protect their confidence online.

  • In this session, we explore what boundaries are and why they matter — with friends, family, and even ourselves. Students learn to recognise how different situations make them feel, how to speak up respectfully, and how to listen when others set their own limits. It's all about building awareness, kindness, and confidence in everyday interactions.

  • Following on from our previous session, this week we shift our focus to body boundaries — what’s okay, what’s not, and how to trust your instincts. Through supportive activities and discussions, we talk about personal space, body autonomy, and how to respond if something doesn’t feel right. It's empowering, age-appropriate, and centred on respect and safety.

  • This week focuses on preparing for change. Students explore their worries, excitement and questions about high school — with practical tools and advice from current Year 7 students, including boarding perspectives.

  • A forward-focused session where students envision their high school self. What values will guide them? How will they respond to challenges? They'll create a "Future Me" profile, explore goal-setting, and practise confidence in hypothetical real-life scenarios (role-play, journaling, etc.).

  • In our final week, students celebrate who they’ve become and the confidence they’ve built. Through creative reflection, they capture the strengths, values, and qualities that make them unique — a powerful reminder of how far they’ve come and the brave steps they’re ready to take into high school.
